Day 9

faceless self portrait My idea for a faceless self portrait was to show something that still shows it's me. Hence, my scars. The one above, a 5 inch scar from when I was 10, when my right leg had a fight with a metal milkbox with a hinge sticking out. The one below from when I was 20, a laproscopic surgery gone bad. Should have only been the small scar inside my belly button, instead you can see only the top few inches of a 7 inch scar on my stomach. What can I say, when I get a scar, I like to go all out.

Day 8

technology I was less than enthused about this topic, the only technological item I would consider taking a photo of is my camera, which is hard to do when you need it to take the photo. So instead I'm showing what technology can do to a photo. Lame, I know, but on to the next topic.

Slacking

I've slacked the past couple days on the photo challenge because I can't get the creative juices flowing for the next topic. I'll come up with something...

childhood memory This is Littlefoot from the movie Land Before Time. He is my childhood stuffed animal. I remember carrying him around on my hip like he was a baby. And I am sure that I watched the movie with him at my side. Probably like this. Except I am imagine that I was cuddling him a bit more because I loved cuddling with stuffed animals. A bit more like this. Minus the wine and laptop, of course.

St. Paul

Image
I had a wonderful time last weekend in St. Paul. Five whole days of hanging out with my sisters, one bro-in-law and nephews. It was just what the Dockter ordered! The weather was beautiful, so it was a lot time playing outside, going on walks and throwing rocks in "the shiny water." I loved watching how Greysen and Sam are together and I know it will only be more fun the older they get. Greysen would ask, "Do you want to play with cars with me, Sam?" And Sam just wanted to do everything his cousin was doing. All he needs a little more time with Greysen and he will be walking and talking as much as his cousin! Which is why I wish we lived closer together. It was also nice to get some sister alone time on, of course, a shopping trip! As much as I love my nephews, we so rarely get sister time. Even though it was only a couple hours, it was great. And I think the highlight of our trip for the boys (and for all of us to see) may have been Choo Choo Bob's Train Store
