Time for more global warming talk

The Bush administration is reviewing whether polar bears should be listed as a threatened species due to habitat degredation caused by global warming. Their homes are melting away because of humans. This is the first consideration of its kind and it makes me sad. I think that the bears need to be put on the list so we don't cause their extinction, but the fact that global warming is now so bad that we need to start protecting animals from what we are doing to them is disappointing. It is sad that we didn't do something sooner so it wouldn't have to come to this. But here we are. We have made things so bad. And now we are left with the consequences.

This is such an upsetting topic, but it is definitely something that we have to face. After reading your blog, I did some reading of articles online myself and came across a British article. The Brits are definitely worried while our administration is trying to make it look like it isn't anything serious. It was quoted in the article “It’s capitalism or a habitable planet—you can’t have both.” Very true...very true.

I was always a bit skeptic of this phrase. How can being away from a person make you fonder? With time, you will slowly start to forget the sound of their laughter and the scent of their hair. I Heart The Office!

My sister introduced me to the television show The Office . And I heart it. I saw Seasons 1 and 2 on dvd in the past week (I watched all of Season 2 between last night and today). The only problem now is that they are half way through Season 3, so I have missed several episodes and it won't come out on dvd until at least this summer... hmm, problem. But you want to know the one thing I heart even more than The Office ? Jim Halpert/John Krasinski (character/actor). He is on the show and I have a huge crush on him. I know what you are saying, you are 25 years old (turning 26 in 2 1/2 months) and crushes on famous people at this age is a little weird, and usually I would agree. All you need is love?

This is a question people have asked for a long time. Is it true? Is love all we really need? I think it would depend on who you ask. When it comes to young children, love is all you need. You know your parents love you and spend time with you, that is what is most important to a child. You don't understand the importance of money or work or health, all that matters is love. Maybe that is what is so appealing about childhood, why we would all do anything to go back, because we were innocent and love really was what made the world go round. As an adult, I now see things differently. Love isn't all there is, we need so much more. Some would say that makes me cynnical, but I am not.
